Philanthropy. It’s a big word, but somebody’s got to do it. Or rather, lots of people are doing it everyday.
Deriving from Ancient Greek, philanthropy literally means “to love people”. We apply the actions of giving – time, money, or voice – to this love of people and voila! we have philanthropy.
Now, if it were only that easy.
Layer that sweet word derivate with politics, personal finance, economics, evaluation, foreign policy, the non-profit sector, laws, governance…and now, you have the philanthropic sector.
It’s just about as exciting a place as you can be. And now, you’ve found yourself with us. Welcome to the conversation!
